EPS Nucleating Agents

VESTOWAX® Fischer-Tropsch waxes are used as processing aids for numerous plastics.

Most important applications are Nucleating agent for expandable polystyrene (EPS).

The addition of VESTOWAX® during polymerisation of styrene results in uniform, reproducible cell structures during the prefoaming process. Furthermore VESTOWAX® acts as a release agent in the final expanding and moulding process resulting in reduced cycle times and waste reduction.
